Christmas Lighting in Cruickshank Park

The Lighting of the Park on Friday evening, Nov. 20, was quite a success. Lots of families and individuals came out to participate and join in singing Christmas Carols. The BIA was recognized for continuing to invest in this event and making this into an attraction for families to visit Wingham.

Tharon Riley and Stacey Boyd did a great job MC’ing the event. The audio was terrific, thanks to Dave Wallace of Ernie King Music. Kempston Werth provided hot chocolate and cookies. The Wingham fire department provided a bonfire which really made for a cozy atmosphere. Moving the Christmas Carol singing from the fire hall to the park worked well.

There was a donation jar at the cider & cookies table. About $61 was donated to the BIA for the Cruikshank Park light enhancements.

Tharon is already planning next year's event.
