Christmas Lights - 2016

Saturday evening, Nov. 12, saw the annual lighting of the Christmas lights in Wingham.  This takes place at Cruikshank Park across from the Fire Dept towards the north end of Josephine St.  Decorating the park and configuring the lights is a project handled by Tharon Riley and Stacey Boyd.  Both said a few words of thanks to all the other volunteers who assisted them.  Hot chocolate and cookies were provided free of charge by Kempston Werth Realty and the Wingham United Church choir led a large crowd in several Christmas carols once the lights were turned on.

Riley noted that the nativity scene had been completed revamped, a new light "fountain" has been added to the park and the Wingham BIA has purchased new snowflake lights for the streetlights along Josephine St.  Christmas music will be playing through speakers connected to the street lights.
