Josephine Street Planters Installed

A group of local business people gathered bright and early on May 28 to install planters and hanging baskets at businesses along Wingham's Josephine Street. This was one of the projects of the BIA's Curb Appeal subcommittee. Coordinated by the BIA's Doug Kuyvenhoven, the 100 planters and baskets were placed between 6 & 7 a.m., before the main traffic of the day started. Positive Outlook

Facebook came alive this week with the addition of the P.I.C.K. Wingham page, created by a local citizen. The Swedish Academy announced the decision Thursday, calling the 82-year-old author from Wingham, Ont., a "master of the contemporary short story."
