All BIA meetings are open to BIA members and the public. The date, time, and location of the meetings can be found on the BIA’s events calendar.

There are 3 types of BIA meetings:

General Membership Meetings are normally held the third Thursday of each month starting at 6:30 PM. BIA members are welcome to come and discuss ideas and make suggestions for the betterment of the BIA.

Board Meetings are normally held the third Thursday evening of each month immediately following the General Membership Meeting. BIA members and the public are given the opportunity to speak for up 2 minutes about any item on the board meeting agenda. BIA board members go through the meeting agenda items. The board Chair prepares and publishes the agenda in advance of the board meeting.

Annual General Meetings (AGM) are normally held the third Thursday evening of February at 6:30 PM. The previous year financial statements are presented by the BIA treasurer. The BIA budget for the new year is presented, discussed and approve by vote by the BIA members. Nominations for board members is also done at the AGM following municipal elections, or when a vacant position needs to be filled between municipal elections. Nominated board members are presented to council for approval. Reports are received from the Chair and a representative from council. BIA awards are presented at the AGM.
